Falling Flowers

Subhuti was Buddha’s disciple. 

Subhuti는 부처님의 제자였다.

He was able to understand the potency of emptiness, the viewpoint that nothing exists except in its relationship 

of subjectivity and objectivity.

그는 주관과 객관의 관계외에는 아무것도 존재하지 않는다는 견해인 공의 효력을 이해할수 있었다.

One day Subhuti, in a mood of sublime emptiness, was sitting under a tree. Flowers began to fall about him.

어느날 고상한 공의 무드에 있던 Subhuti가 나무아래 앉아있었다. 꽃들이 그에게로 떨어지기 시작했다.

“We are praising you for your discourse on emptiness,” the gods whispered to him.

 "우리는 당신의 공에 대한 강연을 찬양합니다." 신들이 그에게 속삭였다.

“But I have not spoken of emptiness,” said Subhuti.

 "하지만 나는 공에대해 말하지 않았습니다." Subhuti가 말했다.

“You have not spoken of emptiness, we have not heard emptiness,” responded the gods.

 "당신은 공에 대해 말하지 않았고 우리는 공에 대해 듣지 않았습니다." 신들이 대답했다.

“This is true emptiness.” And blossoms showered upon Subhuto as rain.

 "이것이 진정한 공입니다." 그러자 꽃들이 비처럼 Subhuto에게 내렸다.
