One who is clever should make no friends

현명한 자는 악한자,화를 잘내는 자, 부러워하는 자

Amongst the malicious, the angry, the envious

또는 다른이의 불행을 기뻐하는자와 

Or those who delight in the misfortunes of others.

사귀어서는 안된다.

Truly, contact with the bad is evil.

진실로, 나쁜사람과 접촉하는 것은 나쁜것이다.

One who is clever should make friends

현명한 자는 믿음있는 자, 기뻐하는 자, 지혜로운 자

With those with faith, the pleasant, the wise,

그리고 많이 배운자들과 

And those with great learning.

사귀어야 한다.

Truly, contact with the good is blessed.

진실로, 선한자와 접촉하는 것은 축복받은 것이다.
