Children of His Majesty

Yamaoka Tesshu was a tutor of the emperor. 

Yamoaka Tesshu는 제국의 교사였다.

He was also a master of fencing and a profound student of Zen.

또한 펜싱과 선의 심오한 학생이기도 했다.

His home was the abode of vagabonds. 

그는 집이 없었다.(방랑자였다.)

He has but one suit of clothes, for they kept him always poor.

그는 단지 한벌의 옷이 있었다. 그리고 항상 가난했다.

The emperor, observing how worn his garments were, gave Yamaoka some money to buy new ones. 

제왕은 그의 옷이 얼마나 낡았는지 알고는 새옷을 살 돈을 Yamaoka에게 주었다.

The next time Yamaoka appeared he wore the same old outfit.

다음번에 Yamaoka가 나타났을때 그는 똑같은 낡은 옷을 입고 있었다.

“What became of the new clothes, Yamaoka?” asked the emperor.

 "새 옷은 어떻게 되었느냐, Yamaoka?" 제왕이 물었다.

“I provided clothes for the children of Your Majesty,” explained Yamaoka.

 "제국의 아이들에게 옷을 나누어 주었습니다." Yamaoka가 설명했다.

abode : 거주

vagabond : 방랑자,불량배

garment : 옷
