EBS Easy English 정리 - 8월3일(토요일)

(월) * You sound like, You look like
1. How come~ 어째서 이런건데?
ex) How come I couldn't reach you all day long yesterday.
2. I forgot to ~
ex) I forgot to plug in my phone. 폰 충전하는 걸 깝빡했다.
3. Sound like ~
ex) You sound like my exgirlfriend. 옛날 여자친구처럼 얘기한다.

(화) 1. How did~go? ~는 어떻게 됐어요?
ex) How did it go?
2. draw up 작성하다.
ex) I draw up the contract. 나는 계약서를 작성했다.
3. Let me call 전화할게요.
ex) Let me call the company to arrange another meeting.

(수) 1. get one's way. 제마음대로하다.
ex) He always get his way.
2. keep ~ing. 계속 ~하다.
ex) He keeps running around the store.
3. That's what I~? 그게바로 제가 ~하려던 거예요.
ex) That's what I think.

(목) 1. How long have you + p.p. ~? 얼마동안 ~하셨어요?
ex) How long have you lived in Florida?
2. It's warm year round. (연중내내 따뜻하다.)

(금) 1. Steep 가파른
ex) It's pretty steep here.

피부가 번들거리다. My skin is very oily. greesy는 피부에는 안씀.

EBS Easy English 정리 - 8월2일(금요일)

1. Steep (경사가) 가파르다.
ex) This is steep hill
    It's pretty steep.

2. Must have been. 분명히 ~했겠다.
ex) That must have been really fun. 정말 재밌었겠다.
    It must have been scary. = You must have been scared. 정말 무서웠겠다.

3. Sprain one's ankle. 발목을 삐다.
ex) He sprained his ankle playing tennis.
    I think I sprained my ankle.

* I am bored 지루하다. cf. I am boring. 나는 지루한 사람이다.

* 발음&리스닝 팁
[s] + t,p,k 뒤의 소리가 강하게 난다.
ex) Steep[스띱], Spider[스빠이더], Scary[스깨어리]

* 긴문장만들기
It's pretty steep
                  here
                       so be careful.

EBS Easy English 정리 - 7월31일(수요일)

* get one's way 자기마음대로 하다
ex) When my son doesn't get his way, he lies down and cries. 내아들은 자기마음대로 하지 않을때 누워서 떼쓴다.
    = spoiled boy
    He always gets his way. 그는 맨날 제 마음대로 해요.

* keep ~ing 계속 ~하다.
ex) Keep rubbing it until the stain disappears. 얼룩이 질때까지 문지르세요.
    When we go shopping, he keeps running around the store. 쇼핑갈때면 그는 가게 주변을 계속 뛰어다닌다.

* That's what I~ ~하려던 거예요.
ex) That's what I think. 그게 제가 생각하던 거예요.

* That's pretty normal for 4 year old boy. 4살아이에게는 정상적인 행동이다.

* discipline 훈육(교육)하다.
ex) You need to discipline him. 교육을 좀 시켜야 겠군요.

* Like Father, Like son. 부전자전

* Let him be. 놔두세요.

* 강세를 받지 않는 L발음 : 너무 강하게 발음하지 않는다. 혀가 입천장까지 가지 않는다.
ex) Always - My parents always take a walk together
    Milk - Drink more milk for your health.
           We're running out of milk. 우유 다 떨어져 간다.

* 긴문장 만들기
ex) He always gets his way 그는 언제나 자기 마음대로 해요.
                           about everything 모든것에 대해서요.
                                            from what he eats to when he goes to sleep. 뭘먹을지에서 부터 언제 자러갈지까지요.

EBS Easy English 정리-7/29(월)

* Why~? = How come~? 왜이렇게 ~ 하니?
ex) How come you are so active and energetic. 어떻게 그렇게 활동적이며 에너지가 넘치니?
    How come + 주어 + 동사, Why + 동사 + 주어
    How come I couldn't reach you all day long yesterday. = Why couldn't I reach you~?
* I forgot to~ ~하는 것을 깜빡했다.
ex) I forgot to put it on the fridge. 냉장고에 넣는 것을 깜빡헀다.
    I forgot to plug in my phone. 휴대폰 충전하는 것을 깜빡했다. (충전하다. plug in = charge <-> Unplug)
* Sound like 말하는게 ~같다.
ex) My husband sounds like my son.
    You sound like my exgirlfriend.
* Why does that happen so often? = How come that happens so often? 그런일이 왜그렇게 자주 일어나니?
* Batteries were dead. 배터리가 다됐다. (죽었다.)
            is about to die. 배터리 다 되어 간다.
* 발음&리스닝 tip
~ttery에서 tt발음을 r발음처럼 하면 안되고 혀를 t처럼 입천장에 붙인다.
ex) lottery, pottery(도자기)
* I forgot to
              plug in my phone
                               so the batteries were dead.

EBS Easy English 정리-7/25(목)

* Put my seat back = lean my seat back (의자)자리를 뒤로 젖히다.
ex) Do you mind if I put my seat back? 제가 의자를 뒤로 좀 젖혀도 되겠습니까?
* Do you mind if I~? 제가 ~ 해도 괜찮을까요?
ex) Do you mind if I use your phone?
* It's time for+명사/to+동사 ~할 시간이다
ex) It's time to go to bed kids. 얘들아 잘 시간이야.
    Time to eat. 식사시간이네.
* I was about to ~ 막 ~ 하려던 참이었다.
ex) I was about to call you. 막 전화하려던 참이었다.
    I was about to do that. 막 그렇게 하려던 참이었어요.
* get some sleep 잠 좀 자다.
ex) Now I can get some sleep. 아 이제 잠 좀 잘수 있겠다.
* Put your seat back into the upright positon. 좌석을 똑바로 해주세요.
* Push my seat back : 의자자체를 뒤로 밀때
  Put(lean) my seat back : 등받이를 뒤로 밀때

ex) I am good at calculating. 나는 계산을 잘한다.
    I didn't know you are good at listening to others. 다른 사람 말을 잘 듣는지 몰랐다.
* ~을 듣다. listen to~
ex) If you listen to him carefully, you'll learn a lot about life.
    그의 말을 자세히 들으면 인생에 대해서 많은 것을 배우게 될것이다.
    I don't really listen to them. 그 사람들 말 잘 안들어요.
* ~가 더 많아  There's more
ex) There's more that I've got to do. 제가 해야할 일이 더 많아요.
    So,there's more that yhou have to do. 그러니깐, 해야할일이 더 많죠

ex) What's the duty-free allowance. 면세품 허용범위가 어떻게 되죠?
    It weighs a lot more than the weight allowance. 무게 허용치보다 많이 나가네요.
