수천마디 공허한 말보다

Is one word that brings peace.

평화를 가져오는 말이 더 낫다.

Better than a thousand hollow verses

수천가지 공허한 시보다

Is one verse that brings peace.

평화를 가져오는 말이 더 낫다.

It is better to conquer yourself

수천의 전쟁에서 이기는 것보다 

Than to win a thousand battles.

자신을 정복하는 것이 훨씬 낫다.

Then the victory is yours. 

그러면 승리는 그대것이다.
